One service call usually pays for the entire year. A non-member jump start runs around $90–$120; a flat tire change can be $125+. As a Go Ape member, those same calls drop to a single $55 fee, and your annual dues count as the first call's deductible.

What you pay
$50 per year, billed annually — that's $4.17/month if you do the math. No hidden fees, no per-call surcharges, no surprise renewal hikes. The price you sign up for is the price you keep year over year. Cancel any time; refunds are pro-rated by completed months.
What's included
Unlimited service calls at the member rate, with a flat $55 callout fee covering jump starts, mobile battery replacement, lockout assistance, flat tire changes (with your spare or our portable inflator), and emergency fuel delivery (gas or diesel). Short-distance tow coordination is included; tow mileage beyond 10 miles is billed at standard mileage rates.
Coverage that follows you, not the car
Membership covers any vehicle you're driving, not just the one on file. Borrowing a friend's truck? Renting a car for the weekend? Driving your spouse's SUV? You're still covered. We verify your identity at dispatch (license number on file), not the VIN, so coverage moves with you.
When coverage starts
The moment your payment clears. There's no waiting period and no claims paperwork. If you sign up at 10:00 PM and lock yourself out of your car at 10:30 PM, you're a member — call dispatch and we'll send a tech.
Priority dispatch during high-demand hours
Friday rush hour, holiday weekends, post-storm queues — these are the moments when membership pays its dues most clearly. Member calls jump the dispatch queue ahead of non-member walk-ins, so you wait less when the city is waiting more.
Membership Questions
Does membership cover roadside calls outside San Diego?
Direct service is San Diego County only. If you break down outside the area, call dispatch — we'll either coordinate with a vetted out-of-area partner at member pricing where possible, or help you arrange a local tow you can be reimbursed for.
What if I already have AAA or insurer roadside coverage?
Many of our members do. They use Go Ape because the response times are usually faster locally and the experience is more transparent. There's no rule against stacking coverage — use whichever provider gets to you first.
How do I cancel or change my membership?
Email support@goape.com or call dispatch and ask to be transferred to membership services. No retention scripts, no "are you sure" questionnaires. We'll confirm the cancellation in writing the same day; pro-rated refunds for unused months process within 5 business days.
Is there a household or family plan?
Because coverage follows the driver (not a specific vehicle), a single membership technically covers anyone you let drive your car. For households where multiple people frequently call for service themselves, we offer a discounted second-driver rate — ask dispatch when you sign up.
Do you ever raise the renewal price?
Not on existing members. The price you join at is locked in year over year for the life of your active membership. New-customer pricing may change over time, but you're grandfathered in at whatever rate you originally signed up at.
What information do I need to complete the form?
Just your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and a payment method (credit card or debit card). We don't ask for your driver's license number, vehicle VIN, or insurance details at signup — those are optional fields you can add later in your member account if you'd like to pre-populate dispatch with that info to speed up service requests.
