What does roadside assistance cost without a membership?
Non-member callouts start at $89 for jump starts and lockouts and run $125–$150 for tire changes and fuel delivery. Towing is quoted by distance. Members pay a flat $55 callout fee on the same services and skip the busy-period queue.
Do you provide on-site repairs or do you tow my vehicle?
Most calls are handled on the spot — jump starts, lockouts, tire changes with your spare or a portable inflator, and fuel delivery don't require a tow. If your vehicle truly can't be moved safely, we coordinate a short-distance tow to a repair shop of your choice.
Do you service Teslas, EVs, motorcycles, and classic cars?
Yes to all four. Our technicians are trained on the proper jump and tow procedures for Teslas and other EVs (including the high-voltage isolation steps), and we regularly service motorcycles and classic vehicles where extra care is required. Mention the make and model when you call so we can confirm gear before dispatch.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Every Go Ape field technician is fully licensed, insured, and background-checked. We carry commercial auto, general liability, and on-hook coverage that protects your vehicle while it's in our care.
What if I'm in a parking garage or hard-to-reach location?
Tell dispatch when you call. Low-clearance garages (under 7 feet), private residential garages, and confined alleys may require us to use a smaller service vehicle, which can affect ETA. We've worked nearly every garage downtown and know which clearances we can get into.
Do you take credit cards on the spot?
Yes — Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all accepted directly from the technician's tablet. Members can also bill the callout fee to their account on file. We email a receipt automatically.
Can I request a specific technician?
You can ask, and we'll honor the request when scheduling allows. The on-call rotation and current dispatch queue may mean a different tech is closer or available sooner — we'll always tell you who's coming and roughly when.
